Using Our 5 Senses at Disney World ~ Magical Blogorail
All of our senses are awakened and stimulated when we are in the Disney Parks and the effects that the Imagineers and Cast Members create give a lasting impression.

Recently my husband rented a cherry picker to trim the trees around our property. He is afraid of heights but quickly learned to tolerate the 40' heights and the swaying of the basket. My youngest son who has Sensory Integration Dysfunction and a fear of heights even took a ride up to the tree tops and enjoyed the view without panicking. When I asked how he felt up there he said,"It was like being on Soarin' Mom". Later on in the project I happened to be up in the cherry picker trimming a pine tree when I got a whiff of the pine scent and I too was reminded of flying on Soarin' through the pine forest.

The exhilarating flight adventure of Soarin' awakens and impresses all your senses while you are gliding 40 feet up in the air. You get to smell the pine forests, touch down on the surf, hear the roaring jet engines, smell the fragrant orange groves and shush down a powdery trail while feeling the wind in your hair and if you are like me and left your shoes on the floor, you feel the wind on your feet.

The only sense the Soarin' experience doesn't include is your sense of taste. That can be quickly remedied in one of our favorite quick service restaurants, Sunshine Seasons for a delicious meal or scrumptious snack.

What sensory experience has had a lasting impression on you?
