You can link up a Facebook picture, Twitter, Tumblr, Reddit, Flickr, video post or your own blog post. The rules are few and linking up is simple. Hop along over to The Disney Wordless Wednesday 411 for all the details.
This week's theme is Your August Calendar Shot.
My calendar shot for the month is one I took in August on a very hot day on the Maharaja Jungle Trek, a self guided tour at Animal Kingdom. Sorry if you've already seen this picture here a few times, but I just had to use it for August.
Why this picture? Well, my birthday is this month and I happen to be a Leo. Yes, I know it's a stretch since this is a tiger not a lion. The lion in Animal Kingdom is always asleep when my safari truck rolls by and my one and only shot isn't a favorite. Hopefully, I'll get a good shot in September. There's another reason. Whenever I look at this picture I am reminded of that sizzling hot August day and the smart tigers lying about in their cool pond gazing up at us sweltering in the heat.
Today is the first Wednesday of the month so our theme is Your Calendar Shot.
Are you wondering what I'm talking about? Well, if you were to make a calendar which picture would you choose to represent this month?
Please keep in mind you don't have to post along with the theme, but your picture post does have to be Disney related. This is a Disney WW Blog Hop afterall!

ReplyDeleteThe last few times we have not gone through the jungle trek - I am hoping to see some tigers when we are there in September!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tiger photo. I bet that water does look refreshing when you're passing by it in the sweltering heat and humidity. Have a great Birthday month!
ReplyDeleteWe should all take a lesson from the smart animals who know just to lay around and take it easy when it gets so hot! Have a Happy Birthday month!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Deb! Great Calendar shot regardless of which month you post it! Thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteCheck my post for this week - something special for you! :-)
ReplyDeleteMy birthday is in August also. Happy birthday, my fellow lioness!!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday month, Deb! My husband is also a Leo :) This is a perfect August shot - lounging around in a cool wading pool is exactly what I like doing this month too!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo. Happy August! :)
ReplyDeleteI've seen this photo before, but I'm glad you're sharing it again. It's one of my favorites of yours!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Deb! Thanks for hosting again! I love your photo of the tiger - beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOh I love it!! Thank you!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome Shot Deb, I love the Tigers in Asia and your right about the lion. This one looks so relaxed and cool
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday month to you! We have two of them in our house as well. Absolutely gorgeous photo :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a nice place to hang out on a hot Aug day :)
ReplyDeleteLove that tiger shot, Deb!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Shot!!
ReplyDeleteCreative, but it so works. Happy Birthday month to our Hop Host, the fearless Leo!!
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely a fantastic tiger shot. I say it's close enough to be your stand in for Leo. It's my birthday this month too, but I'm a Virgo - The Virgin. I think I'm going to go in a different direction with my August picture. :)
ReplyDeleteAwww... the kitty's coolin' down. I want to pet him! What a beautiful photo. (It's funny to me that we Disney fanatics take one look at a picture of a tiger, and it makes perfect sense that it's part of a Disney Photo Hop... ;)
