Welcome to another edition of the The Disney Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop here at Focused on the Magic.com where each week Disney Bloggers gather to blog hop, link up and share their Disney Wordless Wednesday or Almost Wordless Wednesday Disney related picture posts.
It's a fun blog hop for sharing your Disney memories and pictures. There's a theme each week that you can follow if you wish. Facebook pictures, Twitter, Tumblr, Reddit, Flickr or video posts are all welcome. You can even email your pictures and I will be happy to add them to this page. Email your picture to Deb at focusedonthemagic@gmail.com. I'll make every effort to get them posted right away.
The theme for this week's Disney Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop, 7/18/12 is ~Disney Weenies~
You may be wondering what exactly a Disney Weenie is. Well, it's not a someone who takes the chicken exist on Tower of Terror, as a DF suggested, although it would fit the description;) No, it's what Walt Disney and his Imagineers called the iconic structures or focal points in each of the parks and lands. They are big enough to be seen from a distance and interesting enough to draw you closer for a better look. Examples would be Spaceship Earth, Space Mountain, Big Thunder, The Sorcerer's Hat, The Tree of Life and all the wonderful castles to name a few.
So, put your thinking earcaps on and dig through your pictures, post 'em and I'll see right back here.
Now for my favorite Disney Weenie ~ I chose pictures of Cinderella Castle at night.
From any angle the castle stands out so beautifully and really draws you in to see more. It's the first thing you see as you walk over the bridge from Tomorrowland or Adventureland.
Time to link up...

Have a Disney Day!
That is so cool! I must admit, it is rare for me to learn something about Disney...and I just did! I had no idea what a weenie was! Before I read further, I started thinking to myself...,"I think I have a picture of a hot dog!" ;-)
ReplyDeleteLol, too funny! I hope you'll join in on the blog hop fun!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the nighttime picture of the Castle from mid-Main Street!! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pictures! Definitely my favorite Disney weenie at the Magic Kingdom too. I love those two reflection shots and how no matter what color light it's illuminated in, it always looks splendid.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos - I love the one of Cinderella's castle reflected in the water and the flowers around the water edge! I didn't know what a weenie was either - my teenager would definitely say that it's me for not going on any roller coasters!
ReplyDeleteI love Cinderella's castle and I love looking at it at night!! It is beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! There really is nothing like Cinderella Castle all lit up at night. I especially love the last picture with the castle framed by the white lights of Main Street. Spectacular!
ReplyDeleteI love Cinderella Castle at night. I love the last photo with Main Street, that is a sight that I get tired of seeing. :)
ReplyDeleteI would have to say that my favorite is definitely Cinderella's castle. Seeing a person's face light up the first time they see it, watching fireworks over it at night, and just people watching near it are amazing.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots, love all the parks at night! So much magic. Love the lighting in the last shot!
ReplyDeleteLove Cinderella's Castle.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pics as usual, Deb!
ReplyDeleteClassic photos Deb- seriously, has Disney called yet???
ReplyDeleteLove love love it!! :) Thank you so much for hosting this!! :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE LOVE LOVE it!! :) Thank you so much for hosting this!!
ReplyDeleteI love photos of the castle at night, I actually included one photo I took when we stayed all night at MK for leap year.
ReplyDeleteYour's are beautiful.. the colors that it goes through are awesome!
Absolutely gorgeous shots! Thanks for hosting! :)
ReplyDeleteSo now that I know what Disney Weenies are (because I had no idea until you announced this theme), my question is whether or not the new additions will count? I'm thinking of Beast's castle and Prince Eric's. Can you have more than one Weenie in a land? And seriously...couldn't they have come up with a better name for focal points than "weenies"?
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting again Deb.
Absolutely, there will be a few more Disney Weenies in the Magic Kingdom once the new expansion is completed. I know, right? Lol!
