Disney Fantasy has arrived in The Big Apple

The Disney Cruise Line's brand new Disney Fantasy arrived in New York City sailing past The Statue Of Liberty after traveling nearly 3,800 miles across the Atlantic Ocean from Bremerhaven, Germany.

Media, celebrities, travel agents and a select few are gathering today for the inaugural celebration scheduled for tonight at 7pm EST in NYC. Disney CEO Bob Iger and Tom Staggs, the chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, will preside over the christening ceremony. 

They’ll be joined by special guests (the Fab 5?) and the godmother to the Disney Fantasy, Mariah Carey!!

Unlike the Disney Dream christening there doesn't appear to be a webcast or live stream setup. If you'd like to follow along Disney Parks Blog suggests you sail on over (my words not theirs) to @DisneyCruise for live Twitter coverage of the ceremony.
